  1. 2019 Racers Reunion Banquet tickets now on sale - The Best Vintage Racing Event In America Tickets for the 2019 Racers Reunion Banquet to be held in Irving, Texas are now available. On November 9 we will gather to explore Racing History with special guests Aaron Shelby, Bill Werner, and Josh Shaw. Group tickets are now on sale at www.RadiusNation.net. Reserved table group sales start today, August 16, with individual tickets going on sale August 30. Each table seats 10 people so you can bring friends and family! If you are interested in sitting with your group, please sponsor a table now to secure your reserved seats. Each table is $400. The all-day pass includes presentations about the amazing career of Carroll Shelby as told by his grandson, Aaron Shelby. Very special guest Bill Werner will discuss AMA history and his involvement with Harley-Davidson since 1966 and his 13 Grand National Championships as a tuner. Josh Shaw will walk us through the fascinating Evolution of the Sprint Car. The all-day pass gives participants a chance to experience the best Vintage Racing event in America and see a group of beautiful vintage race cars, motorcycles, and memorabilia on display.   2. 10TH Annual Racers Reunion Banquet The Evolution of the Sprint Car, from the “rail frame” - to the “tube frame” - to the “caged” - to the 900 horse powered “winged” Sprint Cars of today, will be featured at the 2019 Racers Reunion Banquet. Historian Josh Shaw will cover the transformation of these types of race cars with the greatest power-to-weight ratio in existence. It was 100 years ago that mavericks such as John Gerber made a living driving, very advanced for their time, homemade race cars. These were not the large street cars with manufacturer backing but roaring machines that entertained the fans and paid good money at the track.   8. Veterans Day Special Celebration Where Stories Come To Life! The 2017 Racers Reunion Banquet will take place on November 11. A day set aside nationally to pay tribute to those Veterans who have defended our great country. As you know freedom comes at a significant price. This year we will have a Special Veterans Day Celebration when General Al Zapanta addresses the group and recognizes those who rose to the call of duty and served in the military. Jelly also manufactured parts for Speedway Motors in addition to being a specialist with quick change rear ends. There will be race cars, race car parts, classic car projects, new and vintage speed parts and racing collectables.   14. The 2016 Racers Reunion Banquet will be held on September 17, 2016 We will feature three gentlemen who have been identified by many as the all-time greatest midget car drivers. Mel Kenyon, “Bronco” Bill Schindler and Sleepy Tripp. It will be an outstanding evening as we learn more about these talented drivers and recognize their success.   15. Thank you to everyone who made the 2015 Racers Reunion Banquet a huge success! There was a record crowd who witnessed stories that brought laughter, tears and amazement! Guest speakers - Donald Davidson, Johnny Rutherford, Cary Agajanian, Jerry Nowicke and Bill Blaylock did an excellent job and kept everyone engaged.   16. Six Week Countdown to the 6th Annual Banquet - Where Stories Come To Life Tickets for the Racers Reunion Banquet are on sale now through September 11. A record crowd is expected in Irving on September 19, as racers and fans from across the nation gather to pay tribute to Lloyd Ruby, J.C. Agajanian and Bob Nowicke. Each year, attendees experience unique presentations on the oral history of important figures in American racing history. These personal stories are shared by family, friends and sometimes even competitors. ARCHIVES - The famed Devil’s Bowl Speedway chewed up race cars and drivers, as they tried to tame the rock quarry. Here is a glimpse of the track from the late 1950s to the early 1960s. If you watch closely, you will see such drivers as McElreath, Rutherford, Woolley and Casper, who went on to become winners throughout the Midwest and from coast-to-coast.
