This video by Duke O’Connor of TX High Def captures lots of hard-nosed asphalt NASCAR Fiesta Modified racing action. And also captures the unfortunate incident that took out two front-runners - Brad Queen and Heath Stewart early in the 100-lap event.

Fiesta’s Speedfest presented by Cricket Wireless is arguably Houston Motorsports Park’s biggest event of the year and you don’t want to miss it. A huge 100-lap event for the fie-breathing NASCAR Fiesta Modifieds, 75 laps for the exciting NASCAR BWFS 360 Trucks and a 50-lapper for the fender-bending NASCAR Stock Cars will highlight the action-packed Saturday show. Also on tap are the wild Eco Stocks and Bandoleros.
If you can’t make it to the track, plan on joining me for the Umscheid Race Services Live, Interactive Updates. I should be firing up the CoverItLive blogging software around 5 p.m. on Saturday.
During the evening you will be able to ask questions and make comments as I bring you lap-by-lap coverage from the park-like 3/8-mile oval.

Houston Motorsports Park’s Speedfest is always a big event and you don’t want to miss being at the track to take in all the sights and sounds. But if you can’t make it to HMP this Saturday, I will be bringing you lap-by-lap Live, Interactive Updates of all the racing action.
I should be firing up the CoverItLive software around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011.
Feel free to post your comments and questions, but, as always they will not show up in the dialogue box right away since I have to approve all posts before they are visible to the rest.

Live Interactive Updates from Corpus Christi Speedway, 10/9/2010

Lone Star Speedzone will be heading to Corpus Christi Speedway this Saturday to cover the 1st Annual Speedfest at the tight, quarter-mile, asphalt oval. Cars are coming from all over the state and LSS will be there to bring you Live Interactive Updates starting around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
You will be able to ask questions and make comments during the blogcast, but there will be a delay between the time you post and when your post shows up in the blog window. This is because I have to approve all posts and sometimes I am very busy trying to keep up with the racing action or getting information for race control, scoring, etc.

Lone Star Speedzone invites you to check out our Live Interactive Updates from the “Fiesta Speedfest presented by Cricket Wireless” at Houston Motorsports Park this Saturday.
Nothing ever can take the place of being at a race in person, but we do our best to bring you the flavor and action as the evening progresses. Since the Live Updates blog software is “interactive,” folks who follow along can make comments or ask questions during the evening.
Since the racing action is set to get started at 5:00 p.m. I will try to fire up the Live Updates at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Please keep in mind that the software has built-in controls to prevent spammers and those intent on causing harm, etc, from posting. So there may be a few minutes delay between when you post your comment or question and when it shows up in the dialogue box.
