Live Updates from Houston Motorsports Park presented by Central Texas Speedway, 4/13/2013

April 11, 2013

Lone Star Speedzone’s Nick Holt will be at Houston Motorsports Park this Saturday, April 13, 2013, to bring you Live, Interactive Updates presented by Central Texas Speedway from the popular 3/8-mile stock car track. Nick will be firing up the interactive blogging software at 5:30 pm and the racing will take the green flag at 6:00 pm.

Double features are on tap for all three NASCAR-sanctioned classes - the NASCAR Stock Cars, NASCAR BWFS Coke Trucks and NASCAR Fiesta Modifieds - as well as the always fun-to-watch EcoStocks.

The racing action at the 3/8-mile oval has been awesome so far this season and capacity or near capacity crowds have been the rule, so you will want to get to the track in plenty of time to stake our your favorite spot in the grandstands. Dollar hot dogs, dollar cokes and dollar beer and $5 tickets available at any Fiesta store makes for a very inexpensive way to enjoy a family night out. But if you can’t make it to the track, join me for the live updates.

You will be able to make comments and ask questions during the blog, but please be patient if you don’t see your post right away.

Live Updates from HMP’s Fiesta Speedfest presented by Central Texas Speedway, 3/30/2013

March 28, 2013

Houston Motorsports Park’s biggest event of the season - Fiesta’s Speedfest - is set for this Saturday, March 30, and Lone Star Speedzone’s Nick Holt will be at the park-like 3/8-mile oval to bring you live, interactive updates thanks to the folks at Central Texas Speedway. The plan is to fire up the blogging software around 5:30 pm and cover all the racing action from the drop of the first green flag to the final checkered.

You will want to get to the Northeast Houston track early as a capacity crowd is expected. But if you just can’t make it to the track, join me for the live updates. I will do our best to bring you all the racing action but nothing takes the place of being there in person.

You will be able to make comments and ask questions during the blog, but please be patient if you don’t see your post right away.

Umscheid Race Services Live, Interactive Updates from Houston Motorsports Park, 10/27/2012

October 25, 2012

The final NASCAR Stock Car event of the season at Houston Motorsports Park - the “Herbert Financial NASCAR Night” - is set for this Saturday, October 27, 2012. The NASCAR Fiesta Modifieds will again be on 10-inch slicks and the bounty on NASCAR Stock Car driver David Webster is still unclaimed. This should produce some of the most intense racing of the season.

I will be on hand to bring you all the racing action via the Umscheid Race Services Live, Interactive Updates and will be firing up the blogging software around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

You will be able to make comments and ask questions during the blogcast, but keep in mind that your post probably will not show up right away, if at all. I have to approve all posts and most of the time I am pretty busy trying to keep up with the events as they happen. I do my best to read and post comments and questions, but sometimes I just fall behind…

Umscheid Race Services Live, Interactive Updates from Houston Motorsports Park, 10/13/2012

October 10, 2012

The already-quick NASCAR Fiesta Modifieds will be on 10-inch slicks this weekend at Houston Motorsports Park which should make them even faster than on the 8-inch treaded tires they normally run. It will be interesting to see how much quicker they will be as they compete in their heat races and an extra-length 75-lap feature.

I will be at the super-quick, 3/8-mile asphalt/concrete oval this Saturday to bring you the Umscheid Race Services Live, Interactive Updates if you can’t make it out to the track. There’s really no reason not to be there in person since the tickets are only $5 if purchased at Fiesta Mart and beer, hot dogs and cokes are only $1. The racing action starts at 6 pm, so I will fire up the blogging software around 5:30 pm.

Double features for the NASCAR BWFS 360 Trucks, NASCAR Stock Cars and Eco Stocks are on tap as well as the first appearance of the season by the crowd-pleasing Dwarf Cars that will be running heats and a 20-lap feature. And don’t forget that the $1000 Bounty Bonus offered to anyone who can beat NASCAR Stock Car driver David Webster “fair and square” is still in effect and Nathan Demski claims he is going to win that Bonus this Saturday.

During the updates you will be able to make comments and ask questions, but expect a delay in seeing your post since I have to approve all comments before they become visible to the rest.

I will be launching the live, interactive blogcast around 5:30 pm if you can’t make it out to the track.

The stock car racing this season has been exceptional at Houston Motorsports Park with great car counts and packed grandstands. With $1 beer, $1 hot dogs and $1 cokes folks can’t go wrong and plan on being at the track every race night. You should too.

The crowd-pleasing double-feature format will again be in effect this week and the Bounty Bonus offered to anyone who can beat NASCAR Stock Car driver David Webster “fair and square” is $1000 plus regular purse money - for a potential of $1600.

During the updates you will be able to make comments and ask questions, but expect a delay in seeing your post since I have to approve all comments before they become visible to the rest.

September 12, 2012

I will be at Houston Motorsports Park this Saturday, September 15, 2012, to bring you the Umscheid Race Services Live, Interactive Update. If you haven’t been out to the immaculate, NASCAR-sanctioned 3/8-mile oval this season, you really should make it a point to be there this Saturday.

In addition to double features for all six classes - the NASCAR Fiesta Modifieds, the NASCAR BWFS 360 Motorsports Trucks, the NASCAR Stock Cars, the EcoStocks, the Legends and the Bandoleros - there is a $500 Bounty Bonus being offered to anyone who can beat Legend driver “Flyin” Ryan Luza “fair and square” during the first Legends feature. Plus, if the bounty is not claimed during the first feature, it will be bumped up to a $1000 Bounty Bonus for the second feature!

And the $1000 Bounty Bonus on NASCAR Stock Car driver David Webster continues as well.

I should be launching the lap-by-lap live updates around 5:00 p.m., so join me if you can’t make it to the track. You will be able to make comments and ask questions during the blogcast, but there will likely be a delay in seeing your post.
