  1. Prep

We look forward to having you.
  2. From Bob Weest: I just returned from Texas NeuroRehab. Dave talked TODAY for the FIRST TIME since Dec 13 Rosemary called us this morning and we were going to go anyway after our son got off school. I had to see for myself. It was worth the drive just see him and hear his voice. He even told Rosemary earlier in the day that his favorite radio station was 107.1.......He had his eyes open and when we walked in and he said "Hi Bob" and we all just about fell over. They are continuing to work on him. Another twist of fate...the nurse/technician who attends to him recognized him from 1993 at Longhorn Speedway and wanted to know if he had raced there because he sure looked familiar....her name is Christin or Christina (I think) and she was the trophy girl the year he won 13 features. Thought I'd share the great news with you!.......BobW BOB, THANKS! OUTSTANDING!
  3. new tsrs schedule

Lloyd, maybe we should say... good Texas Touring!?!
  4. prayers

Big John, you know you are like family to us, our prayers are with you!
  5. New Addition to the Bendele Racing Team

Brandon, I think Heath will agree with PAPA on the "no racing $$$" LOL and the (But worth every penny), absolutely! Seriously, congratulations to all of you! Deb, if being a great aunt is half as great as a grandma, you should be very excited, congratulations to you too!
  6. Weather for Swap Meet

I agree, reschedule, that wind gust, if they are like they are predicting, they are terrible at the track, plus there may be many that need to work on Saturday to make up for their losses these last few bad days! You have worked too hard for this to go bad, due to weather! The track is yours anytime in February, although I would avoid Feb 3rd as to help support Houston's rescheduled date. Everyone, stay in and stay warm!

  9. Million Dollar Question

If there is a way to cut the cost of the pit entrance, we are going to do it! Although, we must make the ends meet. We will have additional information as to the ASA Sanctioning opportunities for drivers, coming soon, you will like them, but they are not required in order to run THR!
  10. Sad, sad news! I remember this young man when he was first brought out to Longhorn Speedway with his family! His Mom and Dad both were very vital to Longhorn Speedway, Sandy, his Mom sold tickets at the main gate and Russell, his Dad, took the tickets and greeted everyone as they came through the gate! Sandy is the sister of Sheri Mack and her best friend Debbie Vogal, those two always ran the pit window at Longhorn Speedway and just this year, they took over the pit window @ Thunder Hill Raceway. Wonderful family! As I was working to prepare for this weekends Award Ceremony, I got the call from Tiffany about Cody, sure took the wind out of my sail, God Bless this wonderful family! Cody you will be so missed and always remembered! Please see the information listed below for his arrangements. Cody Patrick "Co-dog" Slaughter Cody Patrick Slaughter Born in Austin, Texas on Sep. 14, 1986 Departed on Jan. 2, 2007 and resided in Kyle, TX. 13. A question that got overlooked!

By the way Aaron, you are right on it! Thanks for all you do for racing and the kids!
  14. A question that got overlooked!

Well said Deb. OK, so you want to know what a track makes, let me share our worse case scenario from last season, per our CPA. One event, had a $10,000.00 loss, that is hard to make back up. I am sure the Bakers and the Dickerson's have some similar figures. That's racing, gotta love it! Well, enough of that negative stuff, I love racing! I hope to see everyone at our 06 THR/TSRS Awards Ceremony next Saturday! Remember to keep in your prayers, the Krauss family, the Walker family, the Kelly family, the McKim family, the Tharnish family and all those that I have unintentionally left out. H & I wish each of you a very Happy New Year, please be safe and don't drink and drive. Today is our fifth wedding anniversary. Hope 07 is wonderful for each of you and your loved ones.
  15. Prayer Requests

Sending our prayers as well, hopefully by now, he is doing much better. Sincerely, H & Mary Ann
