  3. F1 Race

I might be wrong but at 185MPH or 300KPH nothing is soft for those cars hence the runoff areas...
  4. Engine Rebuild

In the Houston area you might talk to Gentry for Transmission stuff... A good one not in the Houston area would be ACE Transmissions in Corpus... Lawrence M. (Dont ask me to spell his last name ) Marc
  5. LET`S HEAR IT TIM SELF WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THR?

Trust me just because he doesn't post anything on here doesn't mean he doesn't look or have someone look for him... Be reminded that there is an ad to the right of his Wunderkind or at least there was... Just like Maryann didn't post very much but I am sure she read alot. The point is that he or they need to get on the ball before more people either jump ship to run dirt or another track where they know they can race or make changes needed. When Maryann ran the track there were plenty of people that were involved who could answer a question be it Debbie Jack or H.... When you have nothing ( and I say nothing because no one is being told to call OTX for someone that speaks for the track) drivers worry and rightly so because alot of them have alot of money invested in their hobby. All I am saying is they need to get on the ball and let the masses know what going on before the few people who have cars decide to go in another direction...
  6. LET`S HEAR IT TIM SELF WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THR?

They are asking questions at the only available place other than the OTX Facebook page to ask questions. They just want to race not sit behind a computer screen and be a bench racer... There are plenty of people who start making plans on what to do at this point in the season and not just wait and throw something together with a month or 2 to go... JMHO...
  7. "No Ride Height Rule" discussion

I imagine there are a few guys with Nova's that are happy to see the ride height rules go away in the Stock Cars...
  8. SAS Modified 15 & 79 Get together

Gerald lets not muddle up the facts now we all know Nick doesn't like everyone equally... just kiddin...
  9. SAS Modified 15 & 79 Get together

Looks to me the 79 was inside with his bumper to the tire and the 15 spotter didn't tell him as he cut down going into the corner...
  10. sas pit fight (graphic language)

dang asphalt guys...lol have to spell it out....I felt sorry for the track worker... AJ Actually that was the guy that running the event not just your average track worker... All things considered he got things under control rather fast...
  11. sas pit fight (graphic language)

Brave but dumb as a box of rocks...
  12. Whats ever gonna happen here?

Well I guess it wouldnt take much to turn the cow pastures on the front stretch and back to be raceable. And I guess it would be the easiest to restore since it had no lights barely any electric or any other services. I know I photographed one of the first night races there... Had to set up a couple of pickup trucks in 1-2 a bobcat in 3 and I think a Gator in 4... I think Henry Witt won that race...
  13. Whats ever gonna happen here?

Id have to disagree with you Nick or am I to surmise that being feasible to restore isn't the same as being able to hold a race...
  14. Senna vs Prost

It is interesting to note that since the Senna accident there has been no more fatalities in F1... I think when he died that was their Earnhardt moment so to speak.
  15. thunder hill july 28th trucks

Thanks for clearing that up. Does that go for just the rear springs or the fronts as well... There were some that were told no rubbers in the front springs as well...
  16. thunder hill july 28th trucks

Another one of those unwritten rules. Hard to figure these things out when they aren't written down. I guess it is what it is but with the technology and money that is out there it seems that makes it harder for the little guy. All because of the perception of coil binding...
  17. thunder hill july 28th trucks

Did this come up again yesterday? Was there a final decision? We were told not to come to HMP next week with them...
  18. Time to get your racing in now, by 2014 it will be gone

The biggest tax increase you and I will ever see.....Wait it wasn't a tax.....until it couldn't pass the commerce clause test....then it became a tax after Roberts stepped in..... Time buy a few more boxes of shells(while I still can) Somewhere today I read that because the mandate is considered a tax it can be legally challenged but it can only be challenged once the tax takes effect due to some obscure law where any tax cannot be challenged until its implemented... So it 2014 this whole thing may start all over again...
  19. San Antonio Speedway cleanup

There have been disagreements about rules since the beginning of time. Heck when Nick set the rules for the first Caveman Derby everyone was mad that square wheels were no longer allowed only round stone one's allowed... Your never going to make everyone happy when it comes to rules unfortunately...
  20. San Antonio Speedway cleanup

Sounds like I missed alot of fun... Minus the bee's... I'll be there to help next weekend...
  21. Spiritual support needed for one our own

Truely one of the nicest guys I have met at any of the racetracks. Hope you get things turned around and get well soon... Marc Roy
  22. Obvious answer would be Nick was in Corpus at STS...
  23. SAS Thunders/RR/Purestocks

If I remember correctly they flow better and may have a slightly larger ID... 2 1/2"... and worth 10-15 HP according to Brzezinski..
  24. SAS Thunders/RR/Purestocks

Unless the rule had changed since I was racing at I37 Ramhorns and chassis headers were not allowed. Stock log manifolds only... They have opened up the rules to try to allow as many guys to run as possible for the Octoberfast event. Log manifolds are relatively cheap if you are willing to get them off of a junker and they didn't change performance that much to me when I had to switch. If I still had that car I would definately run it because that car has a pretty good history there..
