I'm still amazed from the race Sunday how all the people that don't watch NASCAR saw Wallace flip the bird. Shit I watch closely and missed it.

ME TOO  and i watched every lap ..

  2. what you are all talking about  has been done over time and time again ... u know it  works till   SMALL  RULE  change to help another type of car comes along  starts beating the other s and this starts right back over .. we old folks have been there done that more than once ..  just ove  6 years ago we were running  a stock motor  stock chassis no racing springs and   stock 4 barrel carbs  in what was called puretsock .. that same class is now factory stock  cost more to build one  of  those cars   than almost any .. the price of a motor today  would build two to three purestocks  6 years ago .. fact just getting the chassis now   then add shocks   could build few purestocks  6 years ago  .. ..  we cc shut down  we took jesses old car   put it on dirt made a couple of spring changes ran all season finished every race very lap except two  . two blown tires cost us two laps  we didnt win any races except on feature  and ended up leading the points wiht three race nights left .. and didn  even know what we were doing on dirt ..... my son had ot get out two seasons ago  .cost  i was glad cost was way to high  ..last year i hardly  went to a race ..  this  year i have not even seen  the track ..

NOT going to get my money ..i wont even rent a movie pay for fight .nothing  .. cable cost to much as it is .. if nascar  moves all racing   over there .. oh well  ..

  4. THOUGHT  is   if nascar is going to a new track that no one alive racing has raced at .. they should have a lot of practice time .. .... but this isnt a points race just a million bucks race ..  and  gives them a 200 lap practice session  anyway ..  IF   nascar  does next year    teams  will have notes  ..  .... if u look this race  hasnt  had  the fan base they use to ....      .  .put  2 million or more on the winners purse   let the teams  work  on those cars with more freedom  to change a  thing or two  be innovative  like they use to  .... its not a points race ..   you had a driver figure out the best way to get around the track  and his team was able to adjust the car to run what he wanted to .. did they get lucky i say more yes than no . .but it worked and  the best team won last night  in this race ..

I'll need more than a starter kit lol.. I went through an entire military career, and more than a decade of owning/operating my insurance agency. I never kept a day planner or calendar to remind me of things. Now, I am very grateful for the invention of post it note pads. I still have a great memory for things that happened in the mid to distant past. Names & current memories not so much. But in fairness to me, names have always been hard. Because everyone has their name on their uniform, I never gave much emphasis on remembering names. I wish I had though.

There was a shit ton of "running each other up the track" during that race.....One that gives it out, must also take the return treatment.

And where's the outrage over Truex driving over Logano's hood?

i have been pushed up to the wall  and have done so myself to others ..its racing  in my books   unless you drive  me into the wall   or me drove u into the wall  .. fair is fair   if u can get the advantage  take it . wreck someone expect it back ..in this case with ross  .he knew what he was doing  .

I don't think "everyone is jumping on the bandwagon of blaming him for everything". I think that he is driving the bandwagon himself. This is a guy that operated mostly in obscurity, and now has a good ride. He has a team owner that has openly said he doesn't care how many people that Ross pisses off. And as long as he doesn't piss off sponsors into leaving, nothing will change. NASCAR it seems is okay with what he's doing, as I guess they subscribe to the old saying that "publicity, even bad publicity, is still good". So now it's down to the drivers to say if they've had enough.

At the end of the day, all of this is NASCAR's fault. When you create a championship path like Brian France did, this is what you get. When it's win and you're in the playoffs, there really isn't that much of a choice for drivers/teams. Couple that with the way the networks cover the races in the playoffs. If you ain't in, you don't exist. One thing that is certain, NASCAR will never admit that this playoff system isn't working. You can't create that "bottom of the 9th moment in the World Series, or last second field goal in the Super Bowl, without it looking/feeling like the WWE. I wonder if NASCAR will ever figure out that the loss of fans at the track, loss of tv viewership, and the loss of major team sponsorships might just be connected to this playoff system? That will never happen.

It all may be a moot point though. The RTA has finally come out and said what they're pissed off about. Apparently NASCAR has already agreed to give the teams a little bigger piece of the tv money pie (that was from the RTA, and don't know that to be a fact). The RTA said last week that the charter system is the big sticking point. They want the charter system to become permanent, but NASCAR won't commit to that, as the charter system ends at the same time as the current tv deal. Quite honestly, I can't figure this out. If the teams/RTA don't race in NASCAR, how much is that charter worth? Who is going to pay a big chunk of money for a charter where no teams are racing? If they leave NASCAR, to race in a yet unknown racing series, how much is that charter worth? Will the new series simply just bless these teams with some monetary sum for showing up? I can understand them fighting for a bigger piece of the tv money. I also can understand that they want to have their investment be worth something, if they decide to leave the sport. I don't see how that charter will save them if they leave, or NASCAR folds. So worrying whether or not Chastain is wrecking everyone might become a forgotten topic in a few months. I don't see Jim France sitting him, or any drivers downing and saying that's enough, like Bill Jr did Earnhardt & Bodine. Time will tell, but I think it could be a bumpy summer in NASCARVILLE..

on other note i notice bubba isnt happy with 5 th place .. .. boy isnt happy about anything  he has turned out to be a big crybaby ;; i lost respect for him  on the noose deal and the blm on the car ..

Hi-Tech .watch the Nascar races like I do. Wait until the last 20-30 laps to tune in. Personally I think shorter races would be more fan friendly. Besides when all goes electric it will be the end anyway.

Sometimes that happens ..ill wake up just before the end .lol .. someday  ill go  to daytona and talli ..  see it  in person   every four years my wife and i take trips  .. .  so if we go  to anyone of  those tracks we have to find other things to go to during the trip up and back ...  ..we never go on trips with out visiting other attractions  going  up and comeing back ...

That is parity man.  The super speedway races were pretty much that way all along.  Before Nascar fixed it, some guys were winning laps ahead of the field and people screamed about cheaters and the rich guys winning everything.  Every car in the field was capable of winning yesterday.   When they say they cant pass, that is because the cars are equal and Nascar has done their job

THAT  coming from  u makes me laugh ..nascar  has done its job .  yes they have   you love destruction u love wrecks and nascar has made that happen for folks like u .lol ..

  16. nascar has to do somehting with these cars  where a driver can drive the darn things and pass others ..  its gotten to boring  waiting  for someone ot make a move  to pass but cant without help .. it should not take   two motors and 8 tires  to make a pass ..  first part of the race  you had to wait for pit stops   for excitement .. those who entered and spun out ..  this follow the leader race after race is  getting boring .. folks want ot see great racing and follow the leader isnt .    a driver us to be able to pull out and slingshot .  rare case  now ..  it takes more  talent to master the sling shot //  .the cars now remind me when nascar went to those ugly wings  on the back  of cars .   local tracks do not have classes of cars where second place needs third place to push  him for a win . jmo  . .

Memphis Villarreal to make first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career start at Martinsville

Mooresville, North Carolina (April 11, 2023) - Up and coming racing star, Memphis Villarreal will make his NASCAR debut this weekend for G2G Racing at the Martinsville Speedway.

“I couldn’t be happier with the decision to work with Memphis,” owner Tim Viens said of naming Villarreal as the driver for the team’s No. 46 entry. “He is a very talented driver and we are all excited to have him behind the wheel for us at Martinsville.”

Although Villarreal will make his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series debut, he is no stranger to racing. The now 21 year old started his racing career at a young age, running Bandeleros, as part of the INEX Series. In only his first season, in a limited number of starts, finished 2nd in championship points, achieving multiple Top-3 finishes in only nine starts. This also earned him Rookie of the Year honors.

He quickly jumped to pro late models, modifieds, and even making starts in the Allison Legacy Series, quickly visiting Victory Lane. This would become a staple of his racing career, recording wins across the lower levels of NASCAR, running multiple classes across the south.

Fast forward to 2022, where he has recorded over 30 wins, along with a multitude of Top-3 and Top-10 finishes that caught the eyes of NASCAR owners, including Viens with G2G Racing.

When he is not behind the wheel at a race track, Villarreal coaches drivers of all ages, by teaching the many aspects of racing; such as lines, passing, and strategies. He also believes that if he is going to race the cars, he must also know how to work on them. Therefore, he first came to G2G Racing as a mechanic and road crew for the team.

“I’m pretty excited to be a part of G2G, and am so thankful to (Tim) Viens and (Tim) Sliva for this opportunity,” Villarreal said about being named for Martinsville. “I am looking forward to this seeking and am hoping to bring the No. 46 home clean with a decent finish.”

He will carry the S&S Fishing and Rental and Lalos Auto Repair colors on the truck for his first career start. Look for him in the team’s No. 46 Tundra this weekend at the Martinsville Speedway.

HOPE HE DOES GOOD  .and lalo i am sure will be at that race .. ..
