Street Stock Rules are as follows:
STS Street Stock Rules
I-37 Street Stock Rules
Edna Street Stock Rules
Goliad Street Stock Rules
Houston Area Hobby Rules
I think the CC Speedway Super Streets will fit into the I-37 Rules pretty well, just change tires and you should be elidgible for the most part.
If your car fits any of these rules it will be legal for the Shootout, we will tech to the rules you declare when you arrive.

Cool... And Owen, will it be qualifying heats and qualifier race on Friday to set the A for the streets and then last chances / features on Saturdays for the fender cars much like what they did in the valley last year. In other words, is it racing both Friday and Saturday for the streets? We're really looking forward to this event!

THe STS street stock rules are the pure stock rules of today with a hand full of changes. They will be out in a week or so there are way conservative compared to 37

I RAN 6.27 FINAL IN MY PURESTOCK WHEN I WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP IN 09. WHEN I RAN THERE THIS YEAR WITH I 37 STREETSTOCK I RAN 6.50 AND TURNED 6700. PROBABLY COULD USE A little more gear just dont have it right now. I KNOW SOME OF THE CARS ARE RUNNING 6.88 FINAL. ALSO HEARD THEY ARE GOING TO RECONFIGURE BACKSTRETCH TO D SHAPE WHICH WOULD INCREASE RPMS ON BACKSTRETCH. HOPE THIS HELPS.

We are doing some reconstrcution of the back straight mainly to allow the driver to come off 2 with out getting into the outer wall. Not sure it will be a true d-shape when done but I have a feeling you drivers will turn it into a d-shape before it is all over.

There will be a new wall back there but should not be in the way like the current wall is. Look to have it done by the Practice on November 26th.
thanks

Hi, I'm from northern Oklahoma and looking to try and come down for the race. What gear/rpm is average for the sport mods? Is the track normally dry, tacky, slick? How many cars where there last year? We would be bringing two sport mods, and any info would be appreciated.
THANKS!!

Greg?.....Last year they had about 50 cars show up....Owen usually tries to keep the track tacky and I believe has recut it since the last time I was there....Not sure on gears/rpm.....Don't know how close you are to Randy Timms, he was down here last year and could probably give his input.....
Here's a link to the write up from last years feature....I'm planning on going down there again this year....

Will be good to see you Jay. I am looking forward to this race, but I am thinking this might be my last race. Although I told Owen I would give him 5 more years. I am getting old. Too old to climb those steps. He has given me help this year. Someone carries my computer, etc up for me. I really like working for Owen, he is the greatest, so I will probably be around another 5 years. After he finishes the new back stretch, I am going to ask for an elevator to the scoring booth, don't think I will get, but what the hell I am going to ask.

Princess, I suspect Owen would heavily consider an elevator to keep you... Or, he would carry you up and down the bleachers each night if needed....

... Looking forward to our trip down there in December...

Greg, I think Bobby is refering to the I-37 Rules that are allowed for this race, only thing different is the intake.
Everyone will have to claim their track rules and we will tech to those rules for this race including the CC Speedway cars that choose to participate.

Very few I37 cars to full advantage of the full rules including myself. I am still running my SOS motor from year prior plus roller rockers. I also run stock mounted shocks. No rear weight jacks. So I am not saying there isnt cars with everything possible but the bulk of cars running their dont. Besides the g60 tires are a huge equalizer.

After further review any I-Stock's that want to compete would have to race under I-37 rules.
