Texas Pro Sedans 2009 Awards Dinner

The 2009 Texas Pro Sedans Series annual Awards Dinner will be held for TPS Members, Race Officials, Sponsors, Media and TPS fans in San Antonio at the same location as last year.

Day/Date … Sunday, 4:00pm, November 15, 2009 (no admission charge)

Place …….... Earl Abel’s Restaurant - 1201 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78209

Location .... Northeast San Antonio, in Alamo Heights (directions available on Google)

Time ......... 4:15pm - optional dinner orders taken - October 10 Race HD Video on large screen if projector is found

Dinner ....... Pay as you go, order selections from the full Earl Abel’s menu (Dress code – Casual)


PROGRAM and AWARDS - 5:00pm:

TPS Race Director Neil Upchurch will present a short 2009 season summary.

The original six TPS Charter members from 35 years ago will be recognized and photographed.

TPS Driver Bruce Mabrito will present a special TPS departing member recognition.

Retirements, Appreciation Awards, Special Presentations and Important 2010 Announcements made.

San Antonio Express News Motorsports Blog writer Mike Haag will deliver the key note speech.

Receiving championship awards will be the 2009 Texas Pro Sedans Champion Mike Merrell and 2009 TPS “Rookie of the Year”, Tory Christopher. They will be presented with TPS Champions Plaques and will receive Hoosier Racing Tire Jackets as will 2009 Championship “Runner-Up” Tom Johnson.

A short business meeting will follow the awards portion of the program. 2010 Membership Applications will be received. A transponder yes-no vote will be discussed and taken. The 2010 schedule will be discussed. 2010 Rules & Specifications may be distributed.

All Texas Pro Sedans members, officials and sponsors are urged to attend this season ending event. Attendance at the dinner will properly complete the TPS’s 34th consecutive season and initiate the 35th season of Texas Pro Sedans series racing.
