USMTS Modifieds to battle at Cowtown on Saturday, Heart O’ Texas on Sunday

April 30, 2009

A USMTS Southern Series tripleheader is on tap for this weekend with a trio of West Region battles worth $2,000 to win each. A big field of cars are expected at each event where local aces have a real chance of keeping the winner’s share of the purses close to home.

FRIDAY, MAY 1 - LAKE COUNTRY SPEEDWAY

On Friday, May 1, the Lake Country Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., will host the USMTS Southern Series for a second straight season. Jason Hughes picked up his first USMTS Southern Series victory of the season as 56 top-flight Modified teams duked it out in the inaugural event at Ronny Gould’s speedplant. Hughes held off Jamie Burford and Steve Holzkamper in a fireworks-filled feature, then went on to capture the USMTS Southern Series championship crown.

Also on the racing card will be USRA Southern Limited Modifieds and Hobby Stocks with pit gates opening at 4:30, grandstands at 5:00, hot laps beginning at 6:30 and the first heat race slated to take the green flag at 7:00.

The Lake Country Speedway at 3/8-mile semi-banked clay oval located 0.7 mile east of I-35 (Exit 29) on US 70, then 1.8 miles south on US 77. For more information, call 405-388-9407 or check out www.lakecountryspeedwayok.com online.

SATURDAY, MAY 2 - COWTOWN SPEEDWAY

The series makes a return visit to the Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, Texas, on Saturday, May 2, as the touring titans look to regain some respect after local drivers swept the top three spots in last year’s debut.

“This is our house,” exclaimed George White in victory lane. “Ain’t nobody taking our money home.”

With 56 entries on hand, White led an impressive showing by the local contingent as Cowtown Speedway drivers finished 1-2-3 in the main event as the USMTS Southern Series drivers made their debut at the lightning-fast facility. Bryan Sugg while Glenn Leuschner grabbed third. The first 26 laps of the 40-lap main event belonged to Eddie Martin before a flat tire ended the runaway leader’s hopes of winning.

USRA Southern Limited Modifieds, Winged 600s, Street Stocks and Bombers will also compete. Pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands open up at 5:00, hot laps get going at 6:30 and the mud starts flying at 7:00.

The Cowtown Speedway is a 1/4-mile high-banked clay oval located 1.7 miles southeast of I-20 (Exit 442-A) on Mansfield Hwy., then 1.4 miles southwest on New Hope Rd. For more information, call 817-313-8563 or visit www.cowtownspeedway.com on the World Wide Web.

SUNDAY, MAY 3 - HEART O’ TEXAS SPEEDWAY

On Sunday, May 3, race fans at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Elm Mott, Texas, get their first look at the stars and cars of the USMTS Southern Series. Just like Cowtown last year, HOT Speedway regulars have an advantage over the first-time invaders. Keith White, Benji Kirkpatrick, Justin Radcliff, Eric Tomlinson, Jimmie Helona, Chase Jupe, Johnny Sheets, Cody Daniel, Wesley Dulock, Pat McGuire and Keith Green are just a few of the names that are expected to defend their home turf.

The USRA Southern Limited Modifieds and Mini-Sprints are also on the menu. Eight-time USMTS National Champion Kelly Shryock will climb behind the wheel of Shannon “Slider” Young’s #1 Centex Motorsports powered QWIK Chassis to compete with the USRA Southern Limited Modifieds.

Mark Chrudimsky takes Pro Modified win; Cody Smith “Picks Up” Pro Truck victory at Thunderhill Raceway

April 27, 2009

Thunderhill Raceway (THR) welcomed the Texas Pro Modifieds and the Texas Pro Trucks to their well-maintained paved track in Kyle this past Saturday and Mark Chrudimsky and Cody Smith are glad they did.

Veteran driver Chrudimsky won the “DWIDUDE.com Pro Modified 50” while first-time truck driver Smith took home the winner’s trophy after the 50-lap Pro Truck main event.

Smith - driving a Pro Truck borrowed from front-running THR regular Shawn Paul Lehman, who missed the race to participate in his younger sister’s wedding ceremony, took the green flag from his pole position and led all 50 laps at the three-eighth mile, D-shaped oval, but it wasn’t as easy as it might seem.

DPS Texas State Trooper D.L. Wilson was the first of three drivers to give Smith a good run for the money, but on the seventh lap fast-qualifier Jason Marshall scooted by Wilson to take over second. No speeding ticket was issued after the pass and Marshall proceeded to make friends with Smith’s rear bumper and otherwise make life difficult for the leader.

After a caution period or two for minor spins, at mid race Marshall began to apply some serious pressure just as Wilson and hard-charging Cory Roper joined the front pair to make it a nice, tight foursome.

On the 29th circuit, Marshall got into Smith’s rear bumper a bit too hard and Smith’s truck went for a smoky spin to bring out the yellow caution flag. Track officials conferred and ruled that Marshall would have to move to the back of the field for the restart due to the contact.

But Smith’s worries were not over as the youngster soon had his mirror full of Wilson and Roper who were having a bit of a battle for second behind right behind him. Roper finally manages to squeak by Wilson for second, but not for long as Roper suddenly gets nearly sideways in turn four which gave Wilson the opportunity he needed to regain the runner-up spot.

All the dicing behind him had allowed Smith to gain a few truck lengths on the pair, but by lap 38 Marshall had worked his way back up to fourth and closed in on Wilson and Roper as the laps clicked down. And with two laps remaining Marshall banged his way past both Wilson and Roper to claim second.

Unfortunately, there were not enough laps for a photo finish showdown and Smith took the checkered flag a few truck lengths ahead of the fast-closing Marshall. Roper, Wilson, newlywed Lynn Hardy and 2008 Pro Truck champion Jim Albert rounded out the top five.

During the post race technical inspection, however, it was determined that both Marshall and Roper were too low to the ground and both were moved to the rear of the finishing order.

DWIDUDE.Com Pro Modified 50

Mark Chrudimsky has proven over the years that he can win in anything from a school bus to a Super Late Model and he showcased his racing savvy again Saturday night in winning the “DWIDUDE.Com Pro Modified 50.”

Fifteen of the low-slung Pro Modifieds lined up at the start with some of the best driving talent in Texas set to take the green flag after a brief shower cooled things down a bit.

Justin Long and his well-known teammate Joe Aramendia were on the front row with Chrudimsky and nationally-known hotshoe Tuffy Hudson poised in row two. Michael Umscheid, who set a new Pro Modified track record at 15.107 seconds in qualifying and racing legend Chris Davidson hunkered down in row three. Just behind them the always aggressive John Heil and veteran John Paul Kliewer lined up in row four. Ian Webster, Jim Nides, John Schultz, Bob Slezinsky, Bubba Menard, Greg Baber and Jay Guthrie rounded out the stellar field.

At the drop of the green the whole field went side-by-side for a lap or two, but at the end of the second lap Nides and Slezinsky got together in turn one and they both spun to bring out the first caution flag of the race.

On the restart there was some bumper tag as the field took the green but everyone hung on with Long out first and Chrudimsky right on his bumper. The super quick Umschied took the inside line to worm past Aramendia taking Hudson and Heil along with him as Aramendia got hung out to dry in the high groove, falling back into line in the fifth spot.

It wasn’t long before Webster looped it down the back straight and the yellow waved on lap thirteen. Hudson unexpectedly pitted as the field circled slowly under the yellow. He did not return.

It was back to business on lap 16 with Long, Chrudimsky, Umscheid, Heil, Davidson and Aramendia the top six at this point.

Shortly after racing resumed, Umscheid took a couple of long inside looks under Chrudimsky and nearly made it by at least twice, but Chrudimsky held his line and was able to hold second as the top four ran lap after lap nose-to-tail with each driver determined to advance if anyone bobbled.

At halfway it was still Long, Chrudimsky, Umscheid, Heil, Davidson, Aramendia, Schultz, Nides, Slezinsky, Baber, Menard, Guthrie and Kleiwer.

A few laps later Kliewer, Slezinsky and Baber all tangled and slid hard into the turn four tire wall in a huge cloud of tire smoke. Slezinsky hit the hardest and the track went red as the safety crew responded. Slezinsky was able to get out of the car on his own – a bit wobbly perhaps – but was taken to a local hospital for a checkup as a precautionary measure since he didn’t seem to be clicking on all eight after the hit. Later reports were positive with Slezinsky apparently in much better shape than his mangled Pro Modified.

During the red flag period lots of steam poured from Heil’s machine and he pitted after getting permission to leave the track during the red.

The top three jumped out quickly on the lap 32 restart with Davidson watching the action a few car lengths back in fourth. And he had a lot to watch as Umscheid worked Chrudimsky over hard. Meanwhile Long was able to gain a few car lengths as he watched the excitement in his mirror.

Umscheid was unable to get by, however, so Chrudimsky turned his attention to Long, who seemed to be losing some of his handling as the laps clicked down.

With 10 to go, the track suddenly seemed to get a bit slippery and Long bobbled a bit coming off turn four. Chrudimsky got a good run down the straight and headed towards the inside line as the pair prepared to enter turn one. They made contact, Long spun and came to rest at the bottom of the track midway between turn one and turn two where Davidson, with no place to go slid - more or less gently - into the front of Long’s machine.

Race control ruled that Chrudimsky had the line and sent Long to the rear for the contact that brought out a caution. That gave Chrudimsky the lead with only ten laps remaining.

The next ten laps were a picture of clean, hard racing with two experienced drivers putting on a classic show for the good crowd on hand.

Umscheid stalked and studied Chrudimsky’s line for the next few laps and with five to go turned up the heat. He looked inside. He looked outside, then inside again, but Chrudimsky never wavered from his line.

Finally - on the last lap - Umscheid gave Chrudimsky a love tap coming off turn four, but Mark “The Wildman” Chrudimsky didn’t seem to notice and took the checkered with Umscheid right there next to him. A few car lengths back Davidson, Aramendia and Webster rounded out the top five.

Danny Wood wins ASCS Sooner Region opener at Creek County

April 26, 2009

Danny Wood picked off his first feature win since May of 2005 by topping Saturday night’s season-opening 25-lap American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region main event atop Creek County Speedway’s ¼-mile clay oval.

Danny Wood broke back into victory lane by winning the season-opening ASCS 25-lap feature event at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK.

Danny Wood broke back into victory lane by winning the season-opening ASCS 25-lap feature event at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK.

The veteran Norman, OK, shoe assumed the lead in the opening rounds and repelled the late bids of Jamie Passmore and Dustin Morgan to post the win aboard Mike Hammers’ H&H Enterprises No. 94 Maxim.

While Wood started the feature inside the third row, Missouri racer Kyle Bellm outgunned pole starter Foster Landon at the drop of the green flag. But when Bellm looped it in turn two on the third lap and collected Landon, Wood was there to take advantage and the top spot.

Weathering several more cautions over the remaining distance, Wood’s closest call came when he nearly slipped over the turn two banking on the 14th lap. While Wood kept his machine off the backstretch wall, Passmore closed to within striking distance.

After one final caution with 18 laps in the books that set up a seven-lap dash to the checkered flag, Wood was flawless to secure the victory in front of Passmore, who had his hands full fending off Dustin Morgan over the final rounds.

After battling fuel pump issues early in the night, Morgan raced from the tail of a “B” Main to finish second and then charged from 18th to claim the show position in the main event.

Andy Shouse raced from 14th to nip fellow past ASCS Sooner Region champion J.P. Bailey at the line for fourth. While Bailey rounded out the top five, Robert Sellers, Sherman Davis, Sean McClelland, Brady Bacon and Nick Smith completed the top ten.

Wood, Landon, Koby Barksdale, Sheldon Barksdale and Shane Pace topped heat race action for the 35-car field, with Nick Smith and Bacon winning the twin “B” Mains. Pace popped an engine just after taking the checkered flag in his heat and was unable to make the call for the feature event.

Jason Hughes triples up with Texarkana USMTS triumph

April 25, 2009

It was a familiar face gracing victory lane in an unfamiliar place Friday night as Jason Hughes of Westville, Okla., captured the first-ever USMTS Southern Series main event at the Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Ark.

The win, worth $2,000, was the third straight for the defending USMTS Southern Series titleist. A field of 51 high-powered Modified entered the inaugural event presented by Hooters of Texarkana.

Just like his previous pair of victories two weeks ago, Hughes drew the outside of the front row for the start of the Sunoco “A” Main, but it was polesitter Jon ‘Catman’ Mitchell of Texarkana, Texas, that got the jump at the drop of the green flag.

Hughes wrestled the lead away from Mitchell on lap 14, but Mitchell fought back to regain the spot on lap 15. One lap later, Hughes maneuvered through lapped traffic and raced by Mitchell on the high side of the track to take the lead away again.

From there, Hughes was flawless as he paced the remaining 24 circuits in the caution-free 40-lap affair.

Mitchell hung on to take home the runner-up paycheck while Rodney ‘The Rocket’ Sanders passed AFCO Pole Award winner Garrett Durrett late in the race for third, along with fourth-place finisher Kelly Shryock.

Despite a solid top-5 finish, it was Shryock’s 21st straight USMTS Southern Series start since taking his last win on November 29 during the 2007 season finale at the Houston Raceway Park en route to claiming the USMTS Southern Series championship that year. Overall, it was also the 21st straight event under USMTS banner since his last victory, which came last season on August 31 at the Dodge County Speedway in Kasson, Minn. For the eight-time USMTS National Champion, the drought is his longest since the freshman season of the USMTS in 1999.

Steve Holzkamper finished sixth behind Durrett Friday night, followed by Jason Armstrong, who garnered the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger Award by coming from 18th to 7th on the 26-car starting grid.

Dereck Ramirez, Morgan Bagley and Chris Shown rounded out the top-10 finishers.

Young guns Timothy Culp and Tyler Townsend had a great race in the first Real Racing Wheels “B” Main as they raced side by side the entire 20-lap distance to finish first and second. The other Real Racing Wheels “B” Main went to Odie Green as he held off local favorite Dustin ‘Tater’ Hyde and Armstrong.

Bobby Malchus and Scott Green both came from 19th to 6th in their respective Real Racing Wheels “B” Mains, and both missed qualifying for the main event by one spot. Malchus actually won the Isky Racing Cams First Heat Race, but was disqualified after failing to drive to the scales after the race. Green, on the other hand, was caught up in a nasty wreck in his heat race and had to bring out a back-up car to last in his non-qualifiers race.

On the strength of his third top-10 and second top-5 finish of the season, 19-year-old Sanders tops the East Region points standings with a one-point cushion (258 to 257) over Holzkamper. Jack Sullivan dropped from the top spot to third with 246 points, followed by Steven Whiteaker Jr. (232), Hughes (231), Ramirez (221), Shryock (220), Patrick Linn (219), Michael Robertson (217) and Johnny Bone Jr. (204).

In the companion USRA Southern Limited Modified feature race, Culp etched his name in the record books as the first-ever winner for the new series that will support the USMTS Southern Series at most events in 2009.

UP NEXT:

After an exciting debut last season, the USMTS Southern Series heads to the Champion Park Speedway in Haughton, La., tomorrow (Saturday, April 25). Last year, David Mitchell captured his first and only USMTS victory by holding off Shane Hebert and Sanders in the closing laps of the main event.

Newly-added clay and more banking have produced three-wide racing during weekly shows already this season, and fans can expect more of the same when the big dogs start biting into the dirt.

Local drivers expected to contend for the $2,000 winner’s share of the purse include Geoffrey Lary, Aaron Jordan, Brent Stewart, David Winslett, Jeff Weems Jr., Clif Williams, Bruce Williams, John Williams, Clay Walker, Jason Ingalls, Michael Knighten, Chad Perot, Brandon Russell, Dwayne Brown, Robert Miller, Derek Perkins, Jonathan Brunson, Chris Patton and Lee Patton.

Also on the menu Saturday night will be USRA Limited Mods racing for $500 to win, plus Southern Hot Stocks and Factory Stocks. Pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hot laps are set for 6:00 and the first green flag flies at 6:30.

The Champion Park Speedway is a 1/4-mile semi-banked clay oval located 0.2 mile north of I-20 at Exit 38, then 0.7 mile east. For more information, call 318-371-0077 or visit the track’s website at www.championparkspeedway.net.

New USRA Southern Limited Modified Series to support USMTS Southern Series events

April 23, 2009

Officials from the United States Racing Association (USRA) and the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) announced today that the USRA will sanction a new series for Limited Modifieds that will join the full-blown, mud-slinging outlaw-style Modifieds of the USMTS Southern Series as they travel throughout Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

Licensed drivers competing in the USRA Southern Limited Modified Series will battle for a separate points fund that will pay the top-10 spots at season’s end, including $1,000 to the series champion, $600 for second, $400 for third, $300 for fourth, $250 for fifth, $200 for sixth, $175 for seventh, $150 for eighth, $125 for ninth and $100 for tenth.

Furthermore, those same drivers will also earn national points for the USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mod class in the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series, which also pays 10 positions and awards $1,000 to the champion.

A license will not be required to compete in the USRA Southern Limited Modified Series, but drivers must have a valid USRA license in order to earn points and be eligible for points funds. The cost of a license is $90 and is good for all events.

Each event will pay a minimum of $500 to win. A $25 entry fee at each event will go directly into the points fund for the USRA Southern Limited Modified Series.

The first race for the USRA Southern Limited Modified Series will happen on Friday, April 24, when the USMTS Southern Series invades the Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Ark.

The season finale for both groups will be the 3rd Annual Texas Winter Nationals at the Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3-5.

Texans Trey Mitchell and Bryce Walker set for Orange County PASS SLM run

April 23, 2009

Durham, North Carolina’s Jay Fogleman has spent more nights than he can count over the years racing and winning at Orange County Speedway. After all, it is where he began his racing career in 1982 and is located in Rougemont just a few miles from where he lives. But, in all the races Fogleman has competed in at Orange County, perhaps he has never looked forward to an event like this weekend’s 4th Annual Orange Blossom Special.

Fogleman will return after a long absence from Orange County Speedway on Saturday night to battle the best field of Super Late Model drivers in the country. Over the better part of the last decade, Fogleman has been a regular in the USAR Pro Cup Series and has not had the chance to compete at Orange County. After finishing third in Pro Cup points in 2008, Fogleman has made the switch to the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model division and will have the opportunity to race twice at Orange County this year.

In a limited PASS South schedule in 2008, Fogleman managed to win one race and has elected to go for the PASS South championship in 2009. Although the season has gotten off to a slow start with Fogleman stuck in 15th place in the PASS South point standings after two races, many look to Orange County as the place that the veteran can turn it around. Nobody racing in the Orange Blossom Special has as much experience at Orange County as Fogleman does. And, Fogleman will not be the only driver with local ties to Orange County looking to defend the home turf.

Mark Gibson from Winston-Salem, NC finished fourth in PASS South points in 2008 and is looking for his first top 10 finish in 2009. Duane Linville of Kernersville, NC made his return to PASS South at Orange County last year and has been knocking on the door of finishing in the top ten. Bradley McCaskill and Alex Fleming of Raleigh are best friends off the track and the toughest of competitors on the track. Both McCaskill and Fleming scored top five finishes with PASS South in 2008 and are hoping to give the hometown fans something to cheer about at Orange County.

Perhaps the best chance of scoring a win for the locals could come from one of the series youngest competitors. 14-year-old driver Ryan Blaney from High Point, NC has impressed since making his PASS South debut at Orange County in 2008. In his first start in a PASS South Super Late Model, Blaney stormed through the field and made it all the way up to third before a mechanical problem took him out of contention for the win. After poor qualifying runs in the first two races of the season at Dillon and Hickory, Blaney again charged through the field to score top five finishes in both races. Blaney comes to Orange County a surprising third in PASS South points behind veterans Ben Rowe and Jeff Fultz.

Maine’s Rowe hopes to make it three for three in PASS South for 2009 while Fultz looks for his first win in the series after four straight top five finishes dating back to last year.

While locals hope to steal the show at Orange County, a couple of PASS South rookies hope to join Blaney in the “phenom” category. Most short track observers would say Pensacola, Florida’s Johanna Long has already achieved that status. Last year, Long became the first female to win a Pro Late Model race at her home track, the Five Flags Speedway. Earlier this year, she made more history by becoming the first female winner at Five Flags in the Super Late Model division. Long looks to her crew chief, veteran racer Freddie Query, and teammate Trey Mitchell to help speed her learning curve in PASS South as she makes the transition from racing in Florida.

Texas rookie Bryce Walker will also make his PASS South debut in the Orange Blossom Special as a teammate to Jeff Fultz. Walker was virtually unbeatable in INEX Legends car racing and has scored a couple of top tens racing Crate Late Models thus far in 2009.

Veterans, rookies, and locals will be joined by the strongest Super Late Model drivers in the South including Justin Wakefield, Heath Hindman, Michael Pope, Clay Jones, Hal Goodson, John Batten, Devin Jones, and many, many more.

Joining the PASS South Super Late Models at Orange County Speedway for the first time will be the PASS Late Model Trucks. Through two races, Grant Davidson has a second place finish at Dillon and a win at Hickory. Those finishes have given Davidson a slight edge in points over Marty Griggs and Jody Measamer. Ben Ebeling led several laps at Hickory until an accident took him out of the running for the win. This weekend, Ebeling will be joined in a team truck by Allen Huffman. 2008 Pro Challenge National Champion Clint King continues to impress in his first season racing PASS Late Model Trucks and will be joined by another Pro Challenge alum Justin Crider. The PASS Late Model Trucks continue to grow and will compete along side the PASS South Super Late Models at the next three events before taking the month of June off when PASS South travels down to the New Senoia Raceway in Georgia. In addition to the 4th Annual Orange Blossom Special for the PASS South Super Late Models and the PASS Late Model Trucks, the Allison Legacy cars and Limited Late Models will be in action this weekend at the Orange County Speedway.

Action gets under way on Friday, April 24th at Orange County Speedway with gates opening at 1 PM and rotating practice for all divisions from 3 PM to 7PM. On Saturday, April 25th , pit gates open at 11 AM, rotating practice for all divisions from 1 PM to 4 PM, PASS South qualifying at 5 PM, and racing starts at 7 PM. Orange County Speedway is located off NC Highway 57 near Rougemont. For more information go to ocstrack.com or racewithpass.com. April 23, 2009

The American Sprint Car Series Gulf South Region fires back to action with its second of three scheduled Golden Triangle- 105 Speedway doubles this coming weekend in southern Texas.

On Friday night, the series invades Beaumont’s Golden Triangle Raceway Park before moving on to Cleveland’s 105 Speedway on Saturday night.

The series launched its eighth season of competition atop the pair of ¼-mile clay ovals on the opening weekend of March, with four-time National champion Gary Wright sweeping the weekend in a tune-up for his Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Series campaign.

While Jason Johnson, the reigning Lucas Oil ASCS National champion, moved atop the ASCS Gulf South point charts with a last-lap win in Gulf South Round Three at Gator Motorplex on March 28, it’s 18-year-old Aaron Reutzel that ranks as the top Gulf South title contender.

A third-place finisher after leading much of the way at Gator, Reutzel enters this weekend just eight points ahead of fellow 18-year-old Channin Tankersley, who posted a pair of series wins at Golden Triangle last year.

Other drivers off to a strong start in the ASCS Gulf South championship points chase include Scottie McDonald, Kent Lewis, Jr., and two-time and defending series champion Brandon Berryman, who is just 28 markers off of Reutzel’s pace.

Both of this weekend’s ASCS Gulf South events offer up $2,000 to win and $300 to start.

Friday’s card at Golden Triangle Raceway Park is slated to get under way at 7:45 p.m., with Saturday’s action at 105 Speedway set to go green at 7:00 p.m.

Golden Triangle Raceway Park is located 9.5 miles west of I-10 on US 90 near Beaumont, TX. For more information, contact the track at 409-752-7200.

Cleveland, Texas’ 105 Speedway is located six miles west of US 59 on SR 105, then 0.3 miles north on Fostoria. For more information, contact the track at 281-592-7223.

The ASCS Gulf South Region is set for 28 nights of racing action at eleven different tracks throughout Texas in 2009.

The American Sprint Car Series, in its 18th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing events, brings the best of Sprint Car racing to nearly 100 different tracks throughout 25 states and Canada in 2009.
